Dear Friends,

This past year provided challenges for all of us. The economic downturn caused us all to analyze our priorities and decided what is important in our lives. I am so grateful that you decided to continue to support the Junior Seau Foundation with your time and your treasure.

It is because of the leadership of the Foundation’s Board of Directors that we are able to continue to serve the youth of San Diego. We are fortunate to have this dedicated group of community leaders at the helm of this Foundation.

Our fundraising events serve as the vehicle to maintain our mission of helping children achieve their dreams:

The 8th Annual Teammates Luncheon was sold out as we honored Charger, Luis Castillo.

$130,000 representing 29 scholarships was presented to college bound seniors.

200 underprivileged children from San Diego County’s Boys and Girls Clubs attended Shop with a Jock®

Thanksgiving dinner was served at SEAU’S the Restaurant to 715 clients of nonprofit organizations and members of San Diego’s military community.

Board member Lorne Wilson, again, underwrote a group of kids from the Oceanside Boys and Girls Club on a trip to visit the Audubon Society in Connecticut.

The 17th Junior Seau Celebrity Golf Classic honored Charlie Joiner as the Legend of the year. Charlie was Don Coryell’s most precise receiver and a standout player in the NFL for nearly two decades.We know that this next year will have it challenges - thank you, in advance, for helping us to turn them into opportunities to continue our work.
